WISCONSIN ADVOCACY DAY
Nov. 11th 2025
These Advocacy Days are for anyone,
from residents, labor allies, neighborhood leaders, health advocates, students, and grassroots organizers.
Together, we can ensure that our states lead where federal leadership is faltering, and that the voices of our communities are heard loud and clear.
Participants should expect to:
Speak directly with elected officials in both the Senate and Assembly,
Advocate for affordable energy, clean air and water, and a real climate plan by uplifting key policies like the Climate, Accountability Act, Green Amendment, and 2% Utility Rate Cap
This is more than a Capitol Visit—it’s Advocacy.
Advocacy is about organizing, educating, and mobilizing people to shape public policy—not just behind closed doors, but out in the open. It includes public education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and nonpartisan civic engagement. Unlike lobbying, which involves direct attempts to influence specific legislation (often by paid professionals), advocacy is a broader practice—and a constitutional right protected by the First Amendment.
Advocacy has historically led to major public wins. Everyday people helped secure landmark protections like the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and energy assistance programs—not through insider deals, but through public pressure, organizing, and sustained engagement.
